Adrian Griffin
7 NBA Franchises as a player over 10 years. Adrian was coached by some of the greats. Rick Pitino, Don Nelson and Jeff Van Gundy.
During this time he also played with Dirk, Steve Nash, Paul Pierce, Yao Ming and Kevin Durant!
Assistant Coaching experience at the Bulls, Bucks, Magic, Thunder and part of the championship winning staff at the Toronto Raptors.
We will get an insight into coaching in the NBA. Helping players to be better people as well as better players.
Tony Smith (Hull KR) & Steve McNamara (Catalan Dragons)
My first memories of coaching were giving Uncle Tony a debrief on his performance in an NRL game. I think I was 10 or 11. I’ve been told I am a lot like my Uncle Tony. To hear that warms the heart. He has led me from a distance. He supported me through 2 coaching stints in the UK which I am grateful for.
Tony has coached in the UK since the late 90s. Building dominant teams at Warrington and Leeds. Winning trophies. Being a constant force. Tony has been the leading Rugby League coach over a couple of decades in the UK
Some of his best work has also been done rebuilding Huddersfield, and early days in the rebuild at Hull KR. 400+ Super League games.
Steve Mac played first grade at 17. He has been around some of the best in the British and Australian game.
Steve was a young coach at the Bradford Bulls before taking his coaching journey to the Sydney Roosters under Trent Robinson before a a stint in New Zealand with the Warriors.
Catalonia is now home as the Head Coach of the Catalan Dragons.
Both have coached England in between club coaching stints.
We will have a Q & A session around some of the lessons in leadership they have had during their lifetime of league.
These guys have mentored myself and a lot of other coaches throughout the UK league scene.
